Dubai: From January 1, 2018, the period of validity of Philippine passports will double to 10 years, instead of the current five years — as the new passport law kicks in. On August 2, the government of President Rodrigo Duterte signed into law a Repubilc Act (RA10928) providing for a 10-year validity of the Philippine passport.
